Judo Hants

The client was frustrated with the ever-changing grading system so together we created his own.

He wanted an A6 paper-back grading book for mass printing which would cater for his primary school-aged students as he needed something constant for his children. I had to use the existing logo and keep it to a black and white theme to keep the budget low.

Being brown belt in judo myself I know what both parents and students like to see; we like to see the accomplishment of a sensei signature. The client also discussed the repetitive nature of signing the book for his hundreds of students. I suggested stamps instead of signatures, which required major sizing reconfigurations.
